Response to Antisemitic Incidents
Critics allege that when antisemitic attacks make the news, Hasan Piker's response has typically appeared to downplay or dismiss them. When he reportedly learned about the violence against Jews in Amsterdam, Piker allegedly laughed it off.
Amsterdam Pogrom (November 2024)
In November 2024, organized violence erupted in Amsterdam targeting Jewish individuals. On stream, Piker allegedly treated the attacks as a joke. His chat reportedly flooded with messages calling the violence "based."
Washington D.C. Violence
In May 2025, a terror attack outside the Israeli embassy in Washington D.C. resulted in the deaths of two embassy staff members. Piker allegedly suggested the attack had hallmarks of a "false flag" operation. These comments reportedly led to his suspension from Twitch for "improper handling of terrorist propaganda."
He allegedly cast doubt on a terror attack that explicitly targeted Jewish people, reportedly pushed conspiracy theories, and broadcast the shooter's manifesto. The ADL documented his comments as part of a broader pattern.
Boulder Firebombing (June 2025)
On June 1, 2025, a firebombing attack targeted a "Run for Their Lives" event for Israeli hostages in Boulder, Colorado. The following day, Piker and guest Chris Hedges reportedly characterized the violence on stream as the "natural" response to Israel's actions in Gaza.
Queens Synagogue Protest (January 2026)
On January 8, 2026, protesters chanted 'Long live October 7th' outside a Queens synagogue. Piker allegedly defended the protesters and reportedly attacked politicians who condemned them.
"Zionist Pigs" Rant and Seventh Twitch Ban (January 2026)
On January 29, 2026, Piker was banned from Twitch for the seventh time after allegedly calling Zionists "rabid ultra-Zionist pigs." He reportedly went on to call the ADL "an arm of Israel's suppression in the west."
